Overview of Services

Molecular Biology Core – Department of Biology, University of Mississippi

The Molecular Biology Core provides shared instrumentation supporting molecular, genomic, and protein analysis across diverse research disciplines.

Key capabilities include:

• quantitative PCR
• automated liquid handling
• multimode microplate detection
• cryosectioning
• advanced chemiluminescent and fluorescent imaging for Western blot and gel analysis

The Core enhances research efficiency, promotes collaboration, and provides structured access to essential molecular biology technologies under PI-defined policies.
